The ‘food giants’ of the united states have come face to face with the power of decentralized a distributed network architecture. They all took note, when Walmart used block chain to track the source of mangoes, and it took two seconds. Tracking the source of the same two mangoes with their old process took over six days.
I once heard someone I greatly respect mention that the change can only happen when something works, meaning we will not adopt new ways of doing things unless they work better than what we currently have, from a human perspective.
The question is, what happens when huge, centralized hierarchical organizations adopt technologies that are inherently decentralized, where power in all transactions comes from the complex linkages throughout the system, rather than from the top down?
